I was late, and I do not care. Lots to do in packing. We got not lost,
but misled, since the Forest Service
had
re-routed some logging access roads and changed the numbers on them. In
the dark, it was best to
camp
out where we were, and find out way in the next am, which we did.
Sheaffer spent his time sleeping, reading, and lying in a air mattress
in the cool pond in the hot sun.
At
night we discussed women we had both been dating in the recent past. We
took one hike. Bigfoot did
not
come out and pose while Bob was there. This, I expected, but I regret we
did not get any howls, as has
happened
before (not by coyotes).
After Sheaffer left, a family of five that I knew came and camped 1/4 mile
away. There was a woman, a mother
present
with her husband and kids. They heard howls and one of the kids says he
saw a brown slender bigfoot
climbing
a cliff on the other side of the creek. We could not verify this
and he had no camera. Often, Bigfoot
does
come nearer to kids, since they are harmless. Adults are perceived as being
more dangerous.
I'll be adding a photo that I got after Sheaffer left, below, shortly.
I have yet to look at his photos, which might have Bigfoot in them after all. I plan to ask to see them.
Bob was the only skeptic ever, out of just two, to actually go camping
after Bigfoot, and I am proud he went.
The
other is Dr.Molly Squire Hanson, who went on an overnight backpacking trip
with me in AZ, 1986? She found
bigfoot
tracks all by herself, and became a Bigfoot believer. Brava!
