at the UC Berkeley Museum of Vertebrate Zoology. He is a mammalologist. Bears and primates are mammals. At no time whatever
did I ask him about Bigfoot, since I was sure he would shy away from the subject, and we did not discuss Bigfoot. He did not endorse
Bigfoot, since, Bigfoot is not proven to exist. That said,  we discussed the photos taken by Rick Jacobs 9/16/07 in PA with a game-cam,
above.  He said he and some people on his staff, had been discussing these. I asked him whether, ON BALANCE, the 2nd and 3rd
images were of a bear (carnivore) or a primate (in general.)  He mentioned, and I agree, that the last image showed ischial
callosities (calluses) on the buttocks, which bears do not  have, but primates often do have. We also discussed the leg structure
of chimps, and he said that on balance, he would choose a primate (such as a chimp) for the photos, rather than a bear.
I feel he is right. We discussed the thinner legs, the longer legs and how the forelimbs were longer than the rear limbs,
as in primates.  --- THIS IS NOT A MANGEY BEAR.  LOOK AT THE CHIMP. VERY SIMILAR. Dr Thomas Tomasi of So. Missouri
State Univ. has also said this. NOT-A-BEAR. Both men, under pressure from their EMPLOYERS, will waffle on this. But the
butt-callouses do remain.....regardless. In photos above, the round salt-lick is next to the actual head.

Our trips are no kill, no guns.    In our view, large groups can  be effective
in attracting Bigfoot to the edge of camp, due to "group consciouess"
which is many people thinking the same thing at once. But of course,
individual hikers may encounter Bigfoot on side hikes form the main

Why go on a Bigfoot Expedition?
1) it is a RITE OF PASSAGE for your son or daughter. It is a method of
COMING OF AGE  - far better than losing a leg in a stupid war, or going to jail.
Many young people become technically "adult" without this Rite of Passage,
such as rounding Cape Horn on a clipper ship, going to war, fighting a forest fire,
or joining the Marines. Confronting their fears in a Bigfoot woods is one more
method of becoming a man or a woman. Without such a Coming of Age,
Rite of Passage, young people are often incomplete, unfinished, restless,
and not knowing why. Help your son/daughter grow up on one of our trips.

4) Participate in the LAST GREAT AMERICAN ADVENTURE. All the mountains
have been climbed, the caves explored, the territories all mapped. Lewis and
Clark are history. The Civil War is over. Bigfoot/sasquatch is the one great
adventure left.

5) CONFRONT YOUR OWN FEARS. Can you handle it if a Bigfoot screams near
the camp?  Will you be OK if you hike in the dark with us? (We will hold your hand)
Will you become unglued f Bigfoot walks in front of your car on the way to camp?
Come with us and find out. (BTW, Bigfoot has never harmed anyone...but the size
and noise can be scary. - Also, we all go UNarmed.No guns are permitted.) Being scared
is OK; handling your fears is what shows courage. You too, will be given a Certificate

6) You, or your child, MAY GET A PHOTO OF BIGFOOT of your own. It has happened,
even with a throw-a-way camera. Quality may be from blobby to sharp, depending on
distance. Usually, you do not see Bigfoot at that moment, but find it later after film
processing. Note this is a possibility, and is not guaranteed. But we often have good
luck. You will own your own photos and/or audio recordings. These are yours. BTW,
Bigfoot does not pose for you, like a deer. :-)

7) Even if nothing happens (rare) you get a GREAT OUTDOOR TRIP and you
GET AWAY FROM IT ALL. We request - NO tv, no cell phones, no MP-3,
no IPODS, no cassettes, no fax, no radio, NO LAPTOPS, Get back to nature
and talk your fellow campers. Singing, guitars, etc, is OK.This is not taking
your office with you, like some people do in Hawaii. Wiggle your toes in the
dirt, and Kick Back. Also, no alcohol, no drugs. We want the Natural High.
Bring swimming suit if water is nearby.
 

Note: Bigfoot is NOT Gigantopithecus blacki  reborn. The jaws are NOT the same.
Giganto had massive jaws. Bigfoot in the PG Film has a slender jaw. A real
giganto today, would not last a week with dogs, trucks, dumpsters, and rural
yahoos with deer rifles in their pickup truck gun rack. Bigfoot eludes them all.

in Florida and about the $300 fee.  She was very evasive about where the $300 goes in her email responses to

me and she actually became very rude and sarcastic at one point, asking if I think they ought to post

signs on the highway inviting motorists to a ‘skunk ape hunt’.  She also told me bluntly that “its our

party” ….i.e. we decide everything.  In short, she got upset that I dare ask questions or challenge anything.

Hmmm, suspicious.  My kid gets upset like that when I ask to see his homework after he told me its completed.
 

I certainly can understand the need for funds to procure equipment but why not be open about it?  If they are

truly nonprofit then they ought to post their accounting info for all to see.  Transparency is good in science, is it not?

So I concluded that this was not a serious collaborative nonprofit scientific effort but rather something else

was going on.  Needless to say, they never heard from me again and won’t.

                 " Pareidolia" is a theory  that there are types of   illusions or misperceptions  involving a vague or obscure stimulus
                  being perceived as something clear and distinct. We remind one and all that this is a speculative theory, and
                  not a proven fact. IOHO, some images are actually physical objects that are what they seem, and in some other cases,
                  we suggest that spirit forces manipulate physical objects to form faces and images that they want us to see, using
                  psycho-kenesis, such as our photos of Nicole Brown Simpson's face after her demise, in a tree by her condo.
